Aspa Kanavou

Aspa was born in Athens in December 1996. In 2001 she and her family moved to Kalamata, where she finished her school years. In 2014 she graduated from high school and through the Panhellenic Examinations she was able to start in the field of her choice, veterinary medicine, in the veterinary department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

In addition to her studies, she participated in various veterinary seminars and conferences, while she returned home during the summer holidays during which she helped and did her internship at the veterinary practice Antonopoulos-Tsoupa (www.veterinary.gr).

She finished veterinary school as the best student with the grade “Excellent”.
Immediately after graduation, Aspa started working full time in the same practice where she had done her internship.

Her ultimate goal is to get the Certificate of Internal Medicine (specializing in cats) from a University of England, as this is very much in line with her field of interest. She would also like to specialize in the use of ultrasound for various pathological conditions.
Aspa has the Proficiency Diploma in English and a B2 level in German.
Sport has always been an essential part of her everyday life. For many years she was involved in swimming, but ended up playing water polo, which she liked much better; this is also reflected in her strong commitment to water polo even during her studies.

Aspa has also participated in volunteer wildlife programs at centers such as Arcturus and Action for Wildlife. In her free time she listens to music and socializes with friends or goes for a walk on the beach of Kalamata.

She is the owner of a wonderful four-year-old male cat named Spooky, who has lived with her since her third year at university, and a dog named Circe, who her family had rescued and with whom she grew up.
