Anastasia Papastefanou PhD DVM MRCVS
Anastasia finished her Veterinary degree in Thessaloniki in 2003. She stayed at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for another 6 years. During her training as an anaesthetist at the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care department she finished her PhD research and part of the residency program of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA). She has worked as an anaesthetist in different private practices, referral and research centres as well as a lecturer at the Veterinary department of the University of Thessaly. She moved to the UK in 2015 with her family where she started working as an anaesthetist at Optivet Referrals up until recently. Since 2019 Anastasia has a second chance to finish her residency in anaesthesia following an alternative residency program of the ECVAA. Her field of interest is anaesthesia of animals with different endocrinopathies, like diabetic patients, and anaesthesia under neuromuscular blocking agents. She has been the author or co-author of different publications while she has taken part in a number of national and international conferences of Veterinary Medicine.
